Frances Jackson, 63 - Spencer

Frances Jackson, 63, of Spencer, died Friday, November 11, 2005, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born November 29, 1941, in Spencer, a daughter of the late Oscar Hawkins and Esther Kendall Counts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister, Betty Lee Counts.

Frances was the office manager of the Jackson Insurance Agency. She was a former employee of Spencer Newspapers, Kellwood Manufacturing and G.C. Murphy Co. She was a member of the American Legion Post 21 Auxiliary and Johnson Creek Baptist Church, Vineyard Ridge. Also, she was a life long resident of Roane County.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 44 years, Tommy A. Jackson of Spencer; a son, Tommy K. Jackson and his companion, Becky Walker of Spencer; a sister, Mary L. Sinnett of Spencer; brothers, Frank Counts of Spencer and Oscar Counts of Leroy; grandchildren, David and Kayla Walker.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Bob Keen and the Rev. Alan Westfall officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Cemetery, Vineyard Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
