(11/07/2005)
CHARLESTON STREET SHOOTING - Bullets were flying around Charleston on a sunny Sunday afternoon yesterday, wounding a teenage girl.

She was talking with friends on the corner of Lewis and Thompson streets.

Police went after a suspect who took off running after firing six shots.

He fired a handgun after getting into a fight with Valerie Lamb and her brother on a front porch, starting a confrontation and displaying the gun under his belt.

Lamb said she had conflict with him before.

But the actual victim was standing down the street with some kids when the last bullet hit her, she screamed and fell to the ground with a wound to her groin.

A report on her condition at CAMC was not available.
