Power lines drape wrecked vehicle

Emergency services respond to Rt. 16 accident

A driver and passenger received minor injuries after their Toyota Celica struck an electric pole last night on Rt. 16, south of Arnoldsburg near the mouth of Crummies Creek.

The teens were not taken to the hospital by Calhoun EMS.

The vehicle went of of control, striking the electric pole, which toppled to the highway with its power lines, blocking traffic. The electric company was making repairs shortly after the 10 p.m. accident.

The Arnoldsburg VFD responded. Trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt was investigating.
