CALHOUN SNAPSHOTS - Improvements, Prizes, Taking A Break

There was completion this week of a new picnic shelter at Wayne Underwood Field, with builders donating their time, a smaller
shelter was completed earlier next to the well-utilized walking trail

There are big prizes at the grand re-opening of the Pit Stop
at Mt. Zion, a bike, a Longaberger basket of goodies and
a DVD player, just sign up to win, give-a-away Saturday

The local Workforce Investment office has moved
from their quarters in the old Garland's Grocery building
to smaller facilities behind the CCCOA Senior Center

It's a grassy field for recreational use,
the former site of the Grantsville swimming pool

Work is continuing on Charley Starcher's Blacksmith Shop, located in Heritage Village at the County Park, donated by Lewis and Dottie Slider
of Hur, with other folks contributing items to the project
