Four youth attended the first 4-H Shotgun Club meeting. Club organizers, Sue and Randall Jones, are pictured with club members, Meghan Chriswell, Kenny Chriswell, Jeremy Watkins, and Nathan Watkins.

Any youth, ages 12 and up, are invited to join the new 4-H Shotgun Club. The next meeting will be held Friday, November 11. The meeting will be from 11 a.m.until 2:30 p.m. in the 3rd picnic shelter at Calhoun County Park. Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.

The club will be limited to 12 youth. To join call Sue or Randall Jones at 655-8203. If you cannot attend the November meeting, please give them a call to reserve your spot. They will not be accepting new members after the November meeting. Youth who are already members of a community 4-H club should also register for their primary club.

In addition to the November meeting, a spring shooting sports day will be held. The event may be held during school spring break. Those joining the 4-H Shotgun Club are asked to bring a shotgun (other than a 410), ammo for that gun only. If you do not own a shotgun one will be provided. In that case, please bring a box of 12-gauge ammo, target load.
