DODDRIDGE MAN INDICTED FOR MURDERING DAUGHTER

(10/26/2005)
A Doddridge County man has been indicted for murdering his 14-year-old daughter.

Thirty-four-year-old David Andrew Keigley of Zinnia is accused of murdering his pregnant daughter for fear she would reveal their incestuous relationship.

He has been charged with murder, incest, sexual abuse by a parent and death of a child by a parent in the June 26 death of his daughter, Mariah Keigley.

Her body was found wrapped in black plastic bags in the farmhouse she shared with her father, his girlfriend and other children, who are now in state custody.

Keigley reportedly told police he suffocated the girl by placing a plastic bag over her head. The autopsy confirmed the cause of death as asphyxiation.

Keigley is being held at the North Central Regional Jail at Greenwood, Doddridge County.
