EDITH DYE BARR - Frazeyburg

Edith Dye Barr, 86, of Shannon Valley Road, Frazeyburg, Ohio, died June 19, 2001, at her home.

Born August 17, 1914, in Calhoun County, WV, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Estella P. Raybuck Dye. She retired in 1980 from the General Electric Company of New Concord, Ohio.

Mrs. Barr was a member of the Frazeyburg United Methodist Church, Frazeyburg Senior Citizens and a member of Richville Grange, county, state and national Grange.

Surviving are two daughters, Darliss Mock and her husband, Philip of Frazryburg and Donna Melrose of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a sister, Cokie Turner of Zanesville; two brothers, Shirley W. Dye and his wife Emily of Duncan Falls, Ohio and Everett Dye of Big Springs, WV; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Barr, July 19, 1964; a son, James Everette Barr; three sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Frazeyburg United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery od Norwich, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Vensil-Orr Funeral home of Frazeyburg.
