The Big Bend postmaster retired yesterday after 14 years at the post. Lynn Marks, a Glenville resident, has worked for the US Postal system for 41 years, serving in Glenville, Camden, Tanner and Burnsville.

"I would like to thank the folks in this community, for their help and support," Marks said. "It has been a great place to work."

Marks, an active member in civic causes with the Glenville Lion's Club, said he plans to do some deer hunting, trout fish and work around the house.

Naomi Toler has been appointed Officer in Charge of the post office, pending the official appointment of a new postmaster.
