CMS VOLLEYBALL CLAIMS MONDAY VICTORIES |

| By Kelley Houchin The CMS Volleyball team hosted Walton Monday night with both A & B teams claiming match victories. The B team bested Walton in three games 16-25, 25-20 & 25-11. Katie Collins paced the team with 14 service points and 4 aces. She was followed by Rochelle Gerwig with 13 pts, 8 aces; Karissa Reip 4 pts, 3 aces; Kayla Cottrell 3 pts, Kenzie Laughlin 3 pts, and Jordan Mace 3 pts. Kenzie Laughlin was 5/5 setting and Brook Green was 2/2. Attacks were Katie Collins 1/2; Samantha Fulks 1/2, and Karissa Reip and Kayla Cottrell one each. The A team defeated Walton 25-13 and 25-17. Amber Wilford led the team in service points with 10 pts, 1 ace. She was followed by Savannah Church with 8 pts, 1 ace; Bridgett Carter with 7 pts, 2 aces; Ashley Houchin 5 pts, 2 aces; Kayla Roberts 3 pts, 1 aces and Michelle Hall with 1 pt. Setting for the A team: Kayla Roberts was 9/10, Savnnah Church was 1/2 and Amber Wilford was 1/1. Attacks: Ashley Houchin 4/5, Bridget Carter 1/2, and Amber Wilford, Jordan Mace, and Michelle Hall 1 each. The team travels to Walton on Wednesday, 10/19 and hosts Gilmer on Thursday, 10/20 in their last regular season match. Match play begins for B team at 6:00 p.m. The team travels to Spencer Middle on Saturday, Oct. 22 to play in the CWVAC tournament with play beginning at 10:00 a.m. |
