(10/18/2005)

A Calhoun High School student, Hannah Conley, was presented a special "good character" award last night by the Calhoun County Board of Education. Hannah is the daughter of Kenny and Sherlene Conley of Millstone.

"We present this award to Hannah because she demonstrated good character and honesty," said Carlene Frederick, school board president."

The student found a lost wallet belonging to the Rev. Larry Jones, which contained cash and credit cards, at the school's homecoming football game. She returned the wallet safely to the owner.

Hannah was also presented the Herald's "Shining Star" award a few days ago.
