MINNIE HAMILTON HEALTH CARE COMPLIES TO NEW SMOKING RULES - Want To Quit Smoking?

Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Inc. (MHHCC) in accordance with the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department (MOVHD) Clean Indoor Air Regulations, hereby states that smoking will not be permitted within 15 feet of any entrance, window or ventilation/HVAC system, effective October 1.

MHHCC will continue to be smoke free within all buildings. Smoking areas will be designated outside of the building for staff and patients.

Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center is a member of the Calhoun County Tobacco Prevention Coalition and works closely with that organization to see that the needs of our patients are met.

MHHCC has paired with Carrie Brainard of the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department to begin offering Smoking Cessation Classes.

The classes will begin on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 and will be held at MHHCC.

The start time will be 5:30 p.m. We would like to encourage anyone who is interested in stopping smoking or using smokeless tobacco, please come to the first meeting.
