Berlisha Brannon named Pumpkin Queen

This was the year of the pumpkin, since Russ "Tater King" Ferrell had a bad tater year, so he was asked to be a judge for our Pumpkin Queen contest. Russ and Jamie "the educated one," Wagoner voted Miss Berlisha Brannon, as the one and only Pumpkin Queen this year.
Miss Brannon picked out her pumpkin and entered it in the Molasses Festival. We thought it was a sure first place winner, since a couple guys could hide behind it, but after thinking who the guys were, Joe and Ben Early, the "Smurf Cousins," we should have known we could be beat. But alas there was a bigger pumpkin entered and Little Miss Brannon took second place.
We are all so proud of the Pumpkin Queen, but we didn't ask for a speech 'cause she jabbers enough anyway.
