WEAVER IN STABLE CONDITION FOLLOWING RT. 5 ACCIDENT

A Grantsville woman, Opal Weaver, of Russett Road, is still being evaluated in Charleston Area Medical Center, following a single-vehicle accident yesterday near Big Bend. Weaver was first taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center and then transferred to the Charleston facility. Family members report she is suffering from a fractured vertebrae in the neck, among other injuries. She was expected to be taken out of ICU this evening, her condition is stable.
