Born in Georgia, he was a US Army Veteran and a heavy equipment operator and contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Graham Hightower; a son, Danny Hightower and his wife Joan of Savannah, Georgia; a foster son, James Anderson; and one granddaughter, Danielle.

There will be no services or visitation. Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg is in charge of arrangements.
