STABBING VICTIM DISCOVERED IN SPEEDING I-79 CAR

(09/28/2005)
The stabbed body of a women was discovered in the back seat of a speeding car on I-79 near Elkview.

Police have identified the woman as twenty-five-year-old Clorissa Fields, whose last known address was in Dunbar, but reportedly has Clay County connections.

Fields had apparently been stabbed six times.

The body was taken to the state medical examiner's office for autopsy.

Richardson told officers he was rushing Fields to a hospital when he was pulled over.

Richardson hasn't been charged in her death, but Mooney says he was cited for speeding, failure to provide proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license.

Clay authorities reportedly secured a search warrant for a residence described as a red single-story structure at 1033 Big Otter Highway, looking for possible instruments that could have been used in a stabbing.

Clay County sources indicated that Fields could have been in a fight with another woman in a front yard, but the information was not confirmed with authorities.
