SCHOOL BOARD WILL PROCESS EXPULSIONS - Heard Good News About A Grant, Process Hiring Gaps

The school board meets Thursday to cover several special needs.

A report by administrator Greg Cartwright will be given, regarding a major grant received by Calhoun schools called GEAR UP.

Four expulsion hearings are to be heard by board members, identified as students 2005-06/01; 2005-06/02; 2005-06/03 and 2005-06/04.

The board will consider student transfer requests: Nasha'La Holcomb (K) to Gilmer County and Jakab Holcomb (1st grade) to Gilmer County.

Volunteer agreements for Carolyn Conley - CMHS and Chasidy Rush - Pleasant Hill.

Retirement/Resignations: Trina Beall - Tutor Coordinator; Jeff Carter - Substitute Custodian; William Mace - Bus Operator.

Job Postings: Special Education Teacher - Itinerant (CMHS); Assistant Principal - CMHS; Science Teacher - CMHS; Health/Physical Education Teacher - CMHS; Temporary Bus Operator; Bus Operator (Bus # 18); Tutor Coordinator (CMHS); Mentor - Elementary Teacher (Sims); Mentor - Elementary Teacher (Miller); Mentor - Half Time Language Arts Teacher (Smith); Mentor - Language Arts Teacher (Harris); Mentor - Half Time Multi-Subjects (Ganoe).
