BOARD COULD HIRE NEW ARNOLDSBURG PRINCIPAL

The Calhoun Board of Education meets tonight at 7 p.m. The board is expected to make a decision about the hiring of an Arnoldsburg School principal. Issues on the agenda include CGCC Meeting on August 19; universal Pre-K, Greg Cartwright; Average Yearly Progress report, Greg Cartwright; transportation issues, Donnie Pitts. There will be discussion regarding Board and Superintendent Goals. Also on the agenda, volunteer agreements, out-of-state conference request, home school requests, student transfers, early release and contracts. Personnel items on the agenda include retirement, resignations, job posting, employment and transfers. The board will also approve bills. The next meeting is October 17, 2005.
