Donzel Dorsey Butler, 85 - Orma

Donzel Dorsey Butler, 85, of Orma, West Virginia, died Monday, September 12, 2005 at home after a long illness.

He was born in Calhoun County where he lived for 85 years. He was the son of the late Roy and Martha Lowers Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillie Butler; seven sons, Jack of Windham, Ohio, Kenneth, Frank, Clarence and Paul all of Beech Road, Orma, Grover of Spencer and Bob of Follansbee; seven daughters, Marie Burrows of Garrettsville, Ohio, Carolyn Howell and Sharon Rucker of Wooster, Ohio, Genvea Rinehart of Follansbee, Peggy Hall of Beech Road, Orma and Esther Nichols and Pauline Drake of Spencer; 30 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife and family are four sisters, Georgia Atkinson, Stella Hall, Dot Webb and Virginia Parsons.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ray Brannon, Clifford, Nelson, and Dalpha Butler; four sisters, Gaye Smith, Genevieve Butler, Rushie Oglesbee and Lear Weirs; two grandchildren, Pamela Jean Butler and Heather Renee Rucker, and one great grandchild, Joshua Lee Harris.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday September 16 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Jack Stump will officiate. Interment will be in Bailey Cemetery, Orma.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
