(09/12/2005)
Submitted by Sherry Justice

Chapel Baptist Missionary Church has been contacted by WV Baptist State Convention to be the contact church for this area.

Donations for the Katrina Disaster from this local area can be submitted to Theda Deuley, who will send the donation to the State Convention.

Mrs. Deuley said that health kits, the same as used by the Tsunami victims, are needed in the southern states. These kits are comprised of:

1-washcloth; 1-hand towel; 1-nail clipper or metal nail file; 1-toothbrush; 1-tube of toothpaste; 1-bar of soap; 6-band-aids; 1-comb; $1- for shipping cost

The items should be put in a ziploc plastic bag.

Anyone wishing to donate these items may call Mrs. Deuley 354-9469; Nancy Yoak 354-6080; Elah Roberts 354-6727 or Sherry Justice 354-6081, they will arrange to pick them up. The bags may also be dropped off at J & B Drug in Grantsville, Speedy Mart at Arnoldsburg or Holbert's Store in Big Bend.

Chapel BM Church says, "Thank you for your help and donations. Isn't it good to see Americans again helping their neighbor."
