RED DEVIL JUNIOR VARSITY DEFEATS RITCHIE 52-0

The Calhoun County Red Devil Junior Varsity football team traveled to Ellenboro on September 5 and defeated Ritchie County's JV 52-0.

Calhoun's, Eddie Burrows rushed 14 times for 122 yards including a 12 yard TD run; a 1 yard TD plunge; an 11 yard TD and a two-point conversion. Roman Rader carried the ball 7 times for 20 yards including a 10 yard TD scamper and three 2-point conversions. Rader also had a 20 yard interception return for a TD. Nick Stevens carried the ball 8 times for 32 yards and one 2-point conversion. Caleb Ball rushed for 59 yards on 5 carries including a 40 yard TD run.

For Calhoun passing: Caleb Ball was 2-8 for 28 yards and Roman Rader was 4-10 for 78 yards and one touch down. Chance Hardway was the receiver of 5 completions for a total of 93 yards and the TD; Caleb Ball had one reception for 13 yards.

Jeremy Conley, Caleb Ball, and Cody Cottrell had fumble recoveries and Cody Cottrell had a quarterback sack.
