The Kerby's came to Hur and Barnes Run before 1850, some of the earliest settlers. Since then they have been trying to decide whether it is spelled "Ki" or "Ke," a problem likely started by a census taker who couldn't read or write well.

They returned for their well-attended reunion Saturday at the Mt. Zion Community Park.
