Lonnie Guy Parsons, 70, of PA, formerly Calhoun

Lonnie Guy Parsons died 9/1/2005 outside his home in Hazleton Pa. of natural causes.

Born May 31, 1935 in Calhoun County WV, he was the son of the late John Seldon Parsons and Fannie Goodnight Parsons. He joined the Navy when he was 16 yrs old and retired from the service in 1973, and had many small jobs before becoming a city worker in Whigham GA.

Lonnie loved reading and was self employed selling and buying books on the internet to people all around the world. He was a very proud Grandfather of two. He also enjoyed movies and book hunting in the local used book stores.

Lonnie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Vernon and Sherry Parsons of Weatherly, Pa; grandchildren Leah Evelynna and Anika Rosalie; Brother Denzel Parsons of Whigham GA; Sisters Bonnie Adams of Alexandria, VA, Maxine Bell of Lake Blackbear GA, Eva Swisher of Washington WV.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Donald, Charles, and James Parsons, Joan Burwell, Louise Parsons, and Donna P. Buie.

He is to be cremated and internment in the Goodnight Cemetery will be at a later date. Any correspondence writes to:
