Donald L. Craddock, 73 - Leroy

(08/30/2005)
Donald L. Craddock, 73, of Leroy, West Virginia, passed away August 27, with his beloved wife of 50 years by his side.

He was born on Jesse's Run, Calhoun County, July 28, 1932, the first son of the late Roscoe and Ida Craddock. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School in 1951, and served in the US Army during the Korean War, from 1953-54. He was a dedicated 32 year employee of the Towmotor-Caterpillar lift truck division of Cleveland-Mentor, Ohio.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He befriended everyone, treating them all with kindness, honesty and respect. Until the disease that took his life, limited him his physical activity to card playing and reminiscent conversation, he enjoyed bowling, fishing and photography. Often he could be found, camera in hand, ready to photograph all smiling participants. He was always willing to spend time, or play games with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; son Rodney (Kristi Knight); grandsons, Andrew and Tyler, all of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Thurl (Thelma) of Medina, Ohio; countless nieces and nephews, family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
