SPENCER MAN ARRESTED ON COCAINE CHARGES

(08/26/2005)
A Spencer man was arrested early yesterday at Mineral Wells for possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine with intent to deliver.

Rodney Whytsell, 33, was arrested at a rest area at 3 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 77, a short distance from Mineral Wells.

The Wood County Sheriff's department responded to a call about a stopped vehicle with the driver possibly unconscious, according to the report.

A deputy sheriff said Whytsell appeared disoriented and failed a sobriety test. The officer said his vehicle yielded a small plastic baggy containing what appeared to be cocaine.
