Dave Wood of Grantsville won the "Old Man" Grudge Race Competition for 2005 at Kanawha Valley Dragway in Point Pleasant.

Dave was driving Burl Simers' Camaro at a speed of 101 MPH in 6.79 seconds for the 1/8 mile run.

To qualify for the competition you had to be at least 45 years old and drive a car that you don't normally drive.

Dave and his wife, Julie, help Burl with his racing and accompany him almost every Saturday.
