DAVE WOOD WINS "OLD MAN" GRUDGE RACE

Dave Wood of Grantsville won the "Old Man" Grudge Race Competition for 2005 at Kanawha Valley Dragway in Point Pleasant. Dave was driving Burl Simers' Camaro at a speed of 101 MPH in 6.79 seconds for the 1/8 mile run. To qualify for the competition you had to be at least 45 years old and drive a car that you don't normally drive. Dave and his wife, Julie, help Burl with his racing and accompany him almost every Saturday.
