WASHINGTON STATE FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN CALHOUN

(07/27/2005)
A fugitive from justice from the state of Washington was arrested in Calhoun Sunday following a stop for a possible game violation. Jason Wesley Hamilton, 26, is now incarcerated in Central Regional Jail.

Records indicate Hamilton fled from Gray Harbors, Washington while serving time for burglary.

Jeffery A. Stowers, 30, of Charleston, was also taken into custody and charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with littering and released on bond.

DNR officer John Apgar reportedly arrested the pair while they were fishing near a low-water bridge across the West Fork at the mouth of Jesses' Run. Apgar said they were on posted land.
