THE 39TH WOOD FESTIVAL PARADE - A BIG HIT - Honoring People Of The Community

A large crowd basked in the hot sun to enjoy the 39th annual Wood Festival Parade yesterday afternoon in Grantsville. The traditional parade worked its way down Main Street, led by Parade Marshal Jake Krack, Calhoun's young fiddle player.

Queen Flora and her court

Tiffany Jones, daughter of Bryan and Teresa Sterns of Grantsville and Adam and Shelia Jones of Big Springs, was Queen Flora XXXIX. Accompanying Ms. Jones, the first-runner up, Shannon Marie Jones and the second runner-up, Melanie Renee Davis.

Ms. Jones is the daughter of Danny and Tammie Jones of Big Springs and Ms. Davis is the daughter of Tim and Pam Davis of Grantsville.

At the conclusion of the parade, Heartwood in the Hills presented their annual street performance in front of the courthouse.
