SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT

The Calhoun County Board of Education will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the board office. Reports will be given on the CGCC Meeting - June 14, 2005; the RESA Meeting - June 21, 2005 and the Strategic Plan Update. Old Business includes abolishing the sport of cross country. New Business includes: Policies on Comment; Policy for Approval; Home-School Requests; Student Transfers; and Out of State Conference Requests. Personnel items include: Retirement/Resignations; Job Postings; Employment; Substitute Teachers; and Substitute Service Personnel. Finances include Invoices - $664,810.09; Supplements - $188,388.77; Transfers -$1,226,219.22; and Financial Reports - April and May 2005. The next meeting is scheduled August 15, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the board office.
