COURTHOUSE GETTING NEW SECURITY LOCKS - County Insurance Policy Reduced |
| (07/05/2005) |
| The Calhoun courthouse is getting new security locks, plus an additional TV camera to upgrade security. A $12,200 grant will fund the improvements. The commission, after taking bids for the county's liability insurance, approved a low bid of $35,000 from Commercial Insurance, Inc. of Charleston. Work is expected to begin on the new walking trail at Wayne Underwood Field. The county's liability coverage has been approaching $65,000, so the new coverage creates a considerable savings. Commissioners canvassed the recent special election last Friday. The commission is scheduled to meet on July 11 at 9 a.m. |
