CAPPS CRITICALLY INJURED IN MOTORBIKE ACCIDENT

A Calhoun youth was critically injured in a motorbike accident Wednesday night.

Nineteen-year-old Clyde Capps was airlifted from the Upper West Fork Park following the incident which occurred in the Stinson community.

Family sources said Capps has suffered a severe spine injury, which could impair his ability to walk.

Charleston Area Medical Center said he is still under evaluation.

He is reportedly suffering from blood loss, and surgery was postponed because of the seriousness of his injuries.

Family members said they have been told he is paralyzed from the waist down.

Calhoun EMS and the Upper West Fork VFD responded to the incident about 8:30 p.m.
