REDUCED COST PRESCRIPTIONS - Minnie Hamilton And J&B Drug Store Join In Cost-Saving Program

(07/18/2005)
Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Inc. would like to announce that beginning on July 1, 2005, a new prescription drug program was started in conjunction with J&B Drug Store of Grantsville.

The program, called 340b, is a federal program that allows MHHCC to purchase pharmaceutical products off of the Federal Supply Schedule at a reduced cost. The savings can then be passed onto patients.

Through a contractual agreement with J&B Drug Store, 340b prescriptions can be written for by MHHCC providers, and filled at J&B Drug Store. The program is only available for MHHCC patients, and the only requirements are that patients not have pharmaceutical coverage and complete an application form.

The 340b program does not provide free prescriptions, but it does help to lower the cost of medication paid by individuals. Not all prescriptions drugs are covered under the program.

You may call MHHCC for additional information on the 340b program, or visit their website at www.mhhcc.com to download an application and information concerning the program. Or visit J&B Drug Store in Grantsville for more information.
