| Today is the official start of the summer season, the longest day of the year.
The Summer Solstice points to June 21st as the official start date of summer and, also, the longest day of the year, offering more sunlight than on any other day.
Weatherwise, the NWS says
"Later in the week, we're expecting to get humidity back with the hazy, hot, humid conditions with the highs near 90 degrees with muggy nights, lows in the upper 60s to around 70."
The past couple of summers have been cooler than normal.
