BEARS MAKING APPEARANCE IN POPULATED AREAS

Are more bear coming out of the woods?

During the past week a bear wandered through Spencer, cabbaged the camping supplies of two WV campers and now a small bear has been walking through a Morgantown car lot.

It's unlikely he wants to buy a car, but the small black bear has been spotted roaming around University Motors while they were holding a "Carnival Days" promotion.

Salesman Scott Trickett first spotted the bear, but it has been spotted crossing the road near the dealership.

The cub is about a year old and was recently turned out to live on its own by its mother.

Division of Natural Resources officials say they want to move the bear to somewhere less populated.

Here in Hur, a non-populated area, the bear have been present these past few years, more often than not, circling the house in the thick woods.

For the most part, they are relucant to show themselves, likely because the dogs bark at them.

Every now and then, we see a bear, or catch a glimpse.
