| A motorcyclist was killed today after his bike reportedly went into a skid and struck a rock cliff on Bear Fork Hill, just east of Sand Ridge on U.S. 33-119.<
The driver, described as a Florida man, was dead on arrival at Roane General Hospital, shortly after noon.
The cyclist was reportedly riding with a friend on another bike. He was not injured.
Sheriff Carl Ballengee said the accident happened in a sharp turn.
Calhoun EMS, Roane County EMS, the Arnoldsburg VFD. Sheriff Ballengee and Trooper 1st Class Jeff Hunt responded to the scene.
