PARKERSBURG POLICE DEPT. WILL TEST FOR OFFICER POSITIONS

The Parkersburg Police Department, an equal opportunity employer, will be testing for the position of patrol officer on Saturday, June 18, 2005.

Testing will be conducted at West Virginia University at Parkersburg at 11:00 a.m. Applicants should allow a minimum of two hours for testing.

A hiring incentive will be paid to all successful applicants who, prior to their appointment, have previously completed the necessary academy training which makes said appointee a certified police officer in the State of West Virginia as approved by the Law Enforcement Training Committee (LET) of the State of West Virginia. The incentive shall be paid upon successful completion of the applicant's probationary period in the amount of $2500.00.

Applications may be obtained Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. at:

Applications must be received by the Training Division no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005.
