It was a perfect day for the WV Mountain Bike Association's 6th Spring Point Series Race at Charles Fork Lake in Spencer this past weekend.

The Aquafina Tour de Lake drew 132 racers for the 12th visitation of the round-the-lake race.

Pro/Experts and Sport riders pedaled 30K, while the junior sports, beginners, and non-point racers toured the lake only once, with a 15K course.

While the course took its toll on chains, tubes, seat posts, shocks and derailleurs - not to mention many a rider's skin - Pro/Expert TJ Platt rode a super fast 30K race, finishing up his 30K tour in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
