Roane County athletic director and former Roane County commissioner Richard Lance will be recommended for Parkersburg High School athletic director next week.
Lance was among six candidates being reviewed for athletic director and was the favored candidate by a search committee and the administration.
Lance would begin as athletic director July 1.
Lance met the administrative requirements for the position because he has certification as an administrator.
