The second annual Teenfest was held at the Calhoun County Park over the weekend, with a large group of county teens attending the non-denominational event.

The out-reach was offered at no-cost to those attending, and was sponsored by 20 area churches in Calhoun, Gilmer, and Roane counties.

Two bands Higher Ground and 1point25 provided part of the music for the weekend.

Teenfest is designed to meet the needs of teenagers while providing a safe environment to interact, fellowship, and worship without everyday distractions.

Dennis Craig, charismatic youth leader and evangelist from Pittsburgh, spoke and performed Saturday night. Craig is part of the band Onesize. He also led the Sunday morning worship service.

The organizers of Teenfest thanks the volunteers and contributers who helped with this year's event.
