WOOD FESTIVAL QUILT SHOW RETURNS - Have Your Beautiful Work Displayed

(05/31/2005)

Submitted by Sharon Pitts

The Calhoun County Wood Festival is proud to announce the return of the Festival Quilt Show.

The festival is delighted to once again give local and visiting quilters the opportunity to show off some of their more beautiful products and inspire others to take up this wonderful traditional craft.

In addition to giving others a peek at your work, each quilt submitted for showing will receive a woven label saying, "Displayed at Calhoun County Wood Festival" that the quilter can keep or attach to their quilt.

The committee asks that quilts be dropped off at the CCCOA building (Senior Center) between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 or Thursday, June 2.

Quilts will be hung for display in the main dining room of the Senior Center on Thursday evening and open to the public for viewing on Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4 during the hours the CCCOA is open. Quilts may be claimed on Saturday afternoon.

Please plan on being a part of this cultural element of Wood Festival. If you have any questions or wish to make arrangements to drop off your quilt at another, more convenient, time please contact Sharon Pitts at 354-7423.
