"VISIT YOUR NEIGHBOR" TOUR - A Senior Citizen Event

Submitted by Brenda McBride Calhoun County Committee On Aging, Senior Citizens visited with Seniors from Clay County on Wednesday, May 10 during the "Visit Your Neighbor" tour. Seniors enjoyed a wonderful lunch and were welcomed warmly. The CCCOA choir sang for entertainment. CCCOA participates in "Visit Your Neighbor" January through May, allowing Seniors to meet others from surrounding counties - Roane, Wirt, Gilmer, Ritchie and Clay. If you would like to get involved in our local senior center or go on some of their "travels" give them a call at 354-7017, 354-7822 or 354-7002. The main office in Grantsville is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Nutrition Site serves meals at 11:45 a.m. each weekday.
