Ms. Stroup is reportedly in critical condition in ICU, undergoing emergency surgery at 7 p.m. Chuck Stroup was also injured, CAMC saying he is "under evaluation."

A family spokesperson said after the collision, the Stroup vehicle went over an embankment and landed against a fence.
