ELEVEN SENT TO HOSPITAL IN RITCHIE WRECK - Calhoun Has Memorial Weekend Accidents

Eleven people were injured in a three car accident at the Route 50-Bunnels Run exit in Ritchie County. They were taken to area hospitals after a 3:30 p.m. pile-up Monday. State Trooper Andrew Pringle of the Harrisville detachment said none of the victims appeared to be critically injured.

The wreck occurred at an off ramp. Drivers and passengers were taken to United Hospital Center in Clarksburg and Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg.

EMS and fire departments responded from Harrisville, Pennsboro and Ellenboro.

A single-car accident on Route 16 near Walker Road resulted in damage without personal injury. The Upper West Fork VFD, EMS and Trooper Hunt of the West Virginia State Police responded to the scene at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The car reportedly went into a ditch.

Saturday's accidents critically injured two women on Route 16 between Orma and Minnora (SEE Hur Herald story) and a rear-end collision at the Speedy Mart in Arnoldsburg sent an Ohio woman to Roane General Hospital for evaluation.
