HARDWAY RETURNS TO JAIL ON 2ND OFFENSE DUI

A Roane County man has been returned to Central Regional Jail after being charged with second offense DUI. Leonard Hardway, 32 (pictured left) of Spencer (not the Leonard Hardway who resides at Mt. Zion) was previously charged with three counts related to methamphetamine. Roane County agents previously made drug buys from Hardway and his father, Jackie Lee Hardway, 61, both who reside a short distance from the Calhoun-Roane line along Henry's Fork. Leonard Hardway had been released from jail on a $75,000 bond, related to the drug charges. His estranged wife, Leila Fay Hardway, was also charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug lab. She was arraigned after a fire erupted at the Spencer Detachment of the State Police, where materials for making meth were taken from a vehicle she was operating.
