HAMPSHIRE COUNTY SHOOTING - Police in Hampshire County found a murder victim, a suspect and a murder weapon when they arrived on scene.

Police say 50-year-old Rickie Michael of Paw Paw and 50-year-old Dennis Benton of Hedgesville were fighting when Benton pulled out a .380 caliber pistol and shot Michael.

Benton was at the house when they arrived and he was taken into custody and charged.

Michael's body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The murder took place at the home of Brenda Watson on Powers Hollow Road near Slanesville.

SHOOT-OUT IN RALEIGH CO. STORE - One man was killed and another seriously injured when shots at a Raleigh County convenience store.

Jeffery and Jeremy Pratt, both of Beaver, were at the Little General Store in Flat Top when they got into an argument with Herman Lee Estes of Bassett, Va., and several of his friends.

Estes allegedly pulled out a gun, firing rounds at both Pratt brothers.

Jeffrey Pratt was killed instantly. Jeremy was taken to Raleigh General for surgery where was reported to be in stable condition.

The store had more than a half dozen people inside at the time of the shooting. No one else was injured.

HUNTINGTON TEEN GOES ON TRIAL - The first-degree murder trial of a Huntington teenager accused in the death of a woman who was shot multiple times and then crashed her vehicle while trying to drive to a hospital.

DeAaron Fields, 15, is being tried as an adult. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

Fields was only 14 last April when 39-year-old Karen Stultz was killed.

The Catlettsburg, Kentucky, woman was shot in the leg and side while she was in a vehicle in an alley behind a Huntington gas station.

After she was shot, Stultz drove away and crashed near the entrance to Cabell-Huntington Hospital.
