Ramon Gardiner Moyers, 64 of Perkins, WV died Saturday, May 26, 2001 at his residence
following an extended illness.
He was born September 30, 1936 at Scott, Braxton County, a son of the late Byron D. and Ruth
Burns Moyers. He was a farmer, a mail carrier and was employed by the Gilmer County Board
of Education. He was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church and the Gilmer County Farm
Bureau. He had been married to Joan Gordon since December 16, 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Moyers, of Perkins, three children and two children in-law,
Frank and Misty (Moyers) Rexroad of Troy, WV, Adam Moyers of Perkins and Clifton and
Heather Moyers of Daniels, WV. One grandchild, Abbygale Rexroad. Two brothers, Brooks
Moyers of Flatwoods, WV and Melville Moyers of Normantown, WV. Four sisters, Joy Burns of
Rosedale, WV, Dixie Moyers of Perkins, Sharon Moyers of reedy, WV and Barbara Eubank of
Jane Lew, WV.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Scott and Harlan Lee Moyers.
Funeral services will be held at Rosedale Baptist Church, Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 10:30 a.m.
Elder Larry Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in the Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV, Monday evening from 6-9 p.m.
