10 AM - Searchers discovered the body of 71-year-old Junior Rose this morning at 10 a.m.

Sheriff Carl Ballengee called off other rescue units coming to the scene to help with the effort.

Rose had been missing since Monday evening, when he placed his fishing boat in the Little Kanawha River at Munday Beach near the Calhoun-Wirt County line.

Family members discovered his empty boat down river.

An extensive effort to locate Rose has been conducted since Monday, with firemen, volunteers, cadaver dogs, divers and underwater cameras being used.

"It has been pretty tiring," said Ballengee. "But we are grateful for all the services and volunteers who came out."
