A 15-year-old Clay boy died after an all-terrain vehicle wreck Monday evening, according to Clay County Sheriff Randy Holcomb.

The youth was riding on a gravel road off of Dog Run between Clay and Widen when he wrecked about 7:30 p.m.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Holcomb would not release additional details about whether the boy was wearing a helmet, or whether he was riding alone.
