Emma L. Silman, 94, of Ripley, formerly of Spencer, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in Eldercare of West Virginia, Ripley, after an extended illness.

She was born June 13, 1911, at Bomont, a daughter of the late Lewis C. and Londa White Foreman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert P. Silman and one sister, Macel Naylor.

Mrs. Silman was a homemaker and had attended Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Paul James of Given; two sisters, Julia Wright of Orlando, FL, and Maxine of Cross Lanes; three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Mike Elder officiating. Burial will be in the Foreman Cemetery, Bomont.

Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral service.
