GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Steve Harold, Head Coach of the Glenville State College Lady Pioneer basketball team, has been named Athletic Director at the College.
Harold will continue to lead the Lady Pioneers in addition to his responsibilities as Athletic Director. He will assume the role of Athletic Director on April 15.
Having just completed his 10th at the helm of the Lady Pioneer program, Harold has established himself as one of the most successful and well-respected members of the women's basketball coaching community. He is an active member of the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA), serves on the East Region Advisory Committee and represents the WVIAC on the WBCA Conference Captain's Committee.
During the early years of leading the Lady Pioneer program, Harold also served as the Assistant Athletic Director from 1995-1997. He was promoted to Athletic Director and served in that capacity from December of 1997 to February of 2000.
A Glenville native, Harold received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Business Education in 1987 from Glenville State College. After graduating from GSC, he continued his education at Radford University and obtained his Master's of Science in Physical Education and Health in 1990.
