WEST VIRGINIA KNIFE AND GUN CLUB

(03/30/2005)
TWO MURDERS IN WYOMING COUNTY - Two Wyoming County men have been charged with murder in separate incidents.

James David Hutchinson, 42, of Glover is accused of shooting 30-year-old Douglas Short of Brenton during an altercation at a Brenton convenience store.

Andrew Halstead, 48, of Saulsville allegedly struck 39-year-old Paul Curtis Sartin with his vehicle and then dragged him about 25 feet in what authorities say was murder.

AIRSOFT PELLET GUN FIRED IN SCHOOL BUS - Police say no injuries were reported after six students were shot with an airsoft pellet gun on a Harrison County school bus.

The bus was heading to North View Elementary, Gore Middle and Liberty High schools.

Police say a Gore Middle student bought the gun on the bus concealed in his coat to show friends at school.

School officials say that student and two Liberty High students allegedly fired the gun at three elementary students and three middle and high school students, who were hit in the neck, near the eye and the forehead.

Police say the Airsoft pellet gun shoots plastic gel-filled pellets.

Harrison County Schools say the three students have been turned over to the police and will get ten-day suspensions and could face battery charges.
